An October Menu Plan

Hello all!  It has been way too long since I have blogged!  We have been in our new house (and new farm) for almost a year now and things are just finally starting to settle down.  Of course, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t chores to be done, but at least I don’t have produce that needs to be processed stacked up to the kitchen ceiling anymore and the dining room table has once again been located.  It has been the “holding station” for ripening tomatoes for most of the summer and is finally functional as a table again!  
All that is to say that I am really anxious to start telling everyone about the fun happenings here on the farm!  I am going to start today with a brain dump.  I am posting my menu plan to keep me accountable and to keep me away from Little Caesars!  So, without further ado, here is our menu for this early October week featuring the best of what my garden has to offer!
Menu Plan October 1-7
Monday:  Broccoli & Cheese Soup with fried okra, green salad and homemade 100% whole wheat rolls
Tuesday:  Homemade whole wheat pizza (1 pepperoni, 1 cheese) with a green salad & homemade ranch dressing
Wednesday:  Veggie & Dumplins with crispy green beans
Thursday:  Pork Kabobs with oven roasted veggies, homemade rolls and green salad
Friday:  Spaghetti carbonara with grilled chicken and a salad with homemade ranch dressing 
Saturday and Sunday we will be heading to our family reunion, so we won’t be cooking dinner, although I hear a rumor that Eric the Meat is bringing his smoker to cook bbq for the Rentz clan…
