I always hear about Christmas tree recycling programs, so I thought I would share ours. Of course we don’t have a tree recycling service here in the sticks that picks up trees. We thought about throwing the tree in the pond for a fish habitat, but then we realized that trees are a goat’s food of choice!
So I present to you our tree recycling…

The goats enjoying their treat! |
Jake hooked his horns in the branches and tried to drag the tree away from everyone else. Tesla looks at me as if to say “Can you believe this guy?” |
So, how do you recycle your Christmas trees?
(And if you live near me, feel free to drop your tree off here!)
For more goat stories, be sure to check out out “Animals” tab at the top of the page!
What a great idea…I recycle mine and use it the next year…it is a faux balsam! My son was allergic to evergreen trees as a small child so we went artificial and I have never gone back to a live one.
I couldn’t be around them when I was younger either. I’m so glad I outgrew that one!
Ours is going to our goats also!
Love it!

I don’t actually “know” her, but we follow each other’s blogs. How do I always manage to meet your college friends? Weird. 🙂
Great idea – I love the photos!
