I’m afraid that I am occasionally guilty of glamorizing my life here on the farm. If that is the case, I apologize It is a ton of fun, but rarely glamorous! This weekend, for example, we had an invitation to have dinner with some of our favorite people in the world, but in order to be able to go, we needed to accomplish a lot of work around here first. Eric and Lucas headed out to T-Ball practice, and Savannah tagged along. That left Erica and I here at the house, ready to work. In case you didn’t know it, a willing 9 year old makes an excellent farm hand!
With her help, we got just about everything planted in the square foot garden beds that we had ready to go in. The tomatoes and pole beans were already planted, but Saturday we added, peanuts, muskmelons, zucchini and 2 types of watermelons. Then we got down to business and planted a ton of pepper plants that I had purchased!
This is what I looked like afterwards. I am the epitome of glamour . . . if you’re a pig . . .
I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend! Why don’t you leave me a comment and let me know how your garden planting is coming this year!
P.S. I got that muddy, and I was actually using a kneeling pad!
Cheers!
