Book Review: Carved

I just finished a delightful book, so I thought I would share it with you.  I’ll go ahead and say that I have known the author practically my whole life, and I’m so excited about her career as an author, but that I wouldn’t write a review for her if I didn’t like the book.  Luckily, I couldn’t put this one down!

Set in historic Elberton and St. Simons Georgia, Carved follows Dee Jackson and her family on a wild adventure across Georgia to save the life of her young nephew.  This book has a little bit of something for everyone, murder, kidnapping, suspense, family drama, a love story, a psychopath, and even a little help from the supernatural!  The character of Granny Nida is sure to make you smile.  This book was a fun, quick read that kept me on the edge of my seat.  If you are looking for something to read, give this one a try!

Carved is the sequel to Martha’s previous book Written on a Rock, which I also recommend.
