Thanksgiving Week Menu

Thanksgiving Week Menu Plan

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yesterday was a busy day in the kitchen, but hopefully it set us up for a week of good dinners.  We processed a deer that Eric killed into roasts, steaks, stew meat and many, many pounds of sausage.  I also made butter, feta, and a batch of cajeta (Mexican caramel) with some of the milk that was taking over our refrigerator.  YUM!

I am hoping to have a calmer week than we had last week!  I did fairly well flying by the seat of my pants last week, but it’s time for another weekly menu plan.  I’ve found that it is less stressful for me all around if I have a plan each day!

Thanksgiving Week Menu

Monday:  Peasant pasta with sun-dried tomatoes (from our garden) and venison sausage with a light mozzarella

cream sauce!

Tuesday:  Homemade calzones filled with ham and cheese and a Caesar salad.

Wednesday:  Venison roast with onion and carrots with baked cheese grits.

Thursday:  Thanksgiving!  Turkey, dressing, and all the rest!  See below for links to some of our family favorites!

Friday:  Kids out of town.  Date night!  (If Eric comes out of the woods in time…)

Saturday:  Party at a friends’ house!  We’re bringing BBQ!

Sunday:  Upside down night!  (Breakfast for dinner) Grits, sausage, & eggs with fruit
