It’s officially December! The blog is all dressed up in Christmas clothes and the sounds of football fills the air! OK, so maybe football doesn’t bring out the holiday cheer in me, but Eric sure is excited about it. (Go Dawgs!)
I am still plugging away at my Christmas presents. I was working on cool artwork for my father in law yesterday and something for Eric’s aunt before that. My craft room looks like a bomb went off, but I managed another trip to the thrift shop again yesterday. I’m that much closer on my $10 Christmas Challenge!
I wanted to share something that we are working on for Lucas. We are making him this skateboard swing! I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find the materials for under $10, but I did! In a little junk store in Pinson, I picked up a brand new skateboard for $6. I was having trouble finding one new or used in my price range, so this was a score! We have the dowel rods (or something close enough, anyway) already, as well as rope, so all we really need to do is stick it under the drill press to make holes and then assemble! It looks so fun! I really want a turn to swing on it!
Anyway, as you go about your Christmas shopping and football watching, I want to leave you with something to remember. In the words of the Grinch…
Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
Merry Christmas everyone!
