Dining Room Makeover: A Woman with a Plan

My dining room makeover is about to be in full swing, and I am a woman with a plan.  I thought I would share it with you!

Paint, Paintable Wallpaper & New Valances

Paintable beadboard wallpaper to hide a multitude of sins under the chair rail!

Super-Cute new valances.
I think these are supposed to just be birds, but they look like baby chicks to me!

The green birds are about the same color as the paint.  I had Lowes match Sherwin Williams color Frolic.

I am using the beadboard wallpaper under the existing chair rail.  The wallpaper there has been exceedingly difficult to remove, and the wall is not in great shape.  I’m hoping this will hide the worst of the trouble.  I will paint the beadboard and trim all a nice clean white color.
After that, it is up with my art, including the beautiful rooster painting that my mother-in-law painted for me for Christmas.  Isn’t he beautiful?
Stay tuned for the update and reveal right around the corner, as my dining room moves from no style to MY style!  I can hardly wait!  I have been thinking about painting the dining room green for a full year now, and I’m ready to take the plunge!
Oh, and speaking of style (subtle, huh?) don’t forget that my new Farmhouse Style Blog Hop begins tomorrow!  Come join the party and link up your favorite stylish posts!  It’s like show and tell for adults!  I will be picking my favorites to showcase the following week, so don’t be shy!
