Farm & Fishing Photos

Lately I’ve taken several pictures that don’t really fit into any of my blog post themes, but they are worth sharing anyway, so I thought I would dedicate a post just to some of my favorite pictures!  And *maybe* I was playing with Photoshop a little bit trying to learn the features I don’t know yet…

Cottonwood blowing through the air looks like snow in May!
The Barn.  It always looks so peaceful until you see the mess inside!
Homegrown roses in a blue Mason jar.  Perfection.
Sage Blossoms in the Garden
Toes in the water, toes in the sand…
Lucas’ first Spanish Mackerel
Savannah really likes the beach
Erica’s first concert!
(Tim McGraw, if you were wondering!)

  1. How do you get a chance to go to the beach, with all the responsibilities the farm requires??

    1. That’s an easy one, I didn’t go! 🙂 Eric took the kids and met some other family down there. I stayed home to milk, hoping for a little peace and quiet, but I got trapped in the barn by the neighbor’s bull instead. (It’s never dull.)
We did leave for 10 days in October to go to visit family in Ireland, but I dried everybody off, so there was no milking to be done, and I paid the teenager next door to feed and gather eggs. It worked out very well, and we plan to get away again this October. It seems that even if we miss out on a little milk by doing it this way, the break is very good for us!
Thanks for visiting! I hope you will come back!
